You call, we hear
Your still small voice is crystal clear
We stand, we run
Go forth, proclaim your Son.

We are People of God, ready to serve
By fullness of grace, we've been called
Defending the poor, justice for all
In living prayer, we've been called.

Companions, for this journey
The Spirit dwells, our hearts discerning
God leads, we move
We see by faith, and speak in truth. (chorus)

Messengers of life, Ambassadors of Christ
Go and take the Gospel to the world. (chorus)

Song for a Pilgrim

I met a pilgrim
an artist in his way
he worked with people
not with canvas
the broken and the lame
he brought them hope
and gave them life
God knows how he tried

And as they grew stronger
and learned to walk again
a sadness would grow within him
he’d have to move along again
he spoke of the love he’d seen
the pain he’d tried to heal
this pilgrim on the road

I asked why you a pilgrim
and go through all this pain
Slowly he looked at me
and a light was in his eyes
I could do nothing else but journey
loving as I go
the message I bring my friend
everyone needs to know
life is worth the living

Once I was broken too
and a pilgrim lifted me
a cross was on his shoulders
but he gave his love to me
he taught me how to live
how to really love
then showed me to the road

The pilgrim he was tired and weak
he looked me in the eye
will you be a pilgrim
and journey such as I
the message it is precious
more still need to hear
I know you feel helpless
filled with so much fear
take my hand

I met a pilgrim
an artist in his way
he worked with people
not with canvas
the broken and the lame
he brought them hope
and gave them life
God knows how I’ll try
