Hobart

Pentecost Sunday 4th June 2006 the first permanent deacon was ordained for the Archdiocese of Hobart at St Mary’s Cathedral, Hobart.

Nick's ordination was followed by a reception at the nearby St Peter’s Hall. 
Nick  was ordained by Archbishop Adrian Doyle, Archbishop of Hobart. 
The Mass was concelebrated by the Vicar General Fr Mark Freeman, parish priest Fr Michael Tate AO
and several other priests of the archdiocese and Fr Eusebius Kyando of Njombe Diocese in Tanzania, Africa. 
Deacon Joe Blackwell from the Archdiocese of Canberra & Goulburn assisted.
